Who is Andrei?

I studied history and international relations in the United Kingdom, Netherlands, and Japan. I was particularly interested in how ideology defines and shapes foreign policy. My passion and expertise is public diplomacy, especially digital diplomacy. I advised foreign missions in Romania on politics and communications, and worked on digital engagement campaigns with a civic engagement start-up. I now live and work in Brussels in EU affairs & strategic communications.

I am curious but easily distracted. On any given day you'll find me absorbed in world politics, basketball, food & travel logs, or just curled up with Spinoza's latest.

Since research has proven that blogs (or was that dogs?) take after their masters, you can reasonably expect this blog to be as sprawled as my mind is.

Most recently, I’ve dedicated this space to tracking Romania’s EU Council presidency (time permitting), from the boring policy to the juicy drama.
